Right out of the legend so many famous writers and painters inspired at. This is a big, antique cameo on shell, hand engraved and framed in 14 Kt rose gold featuring in high relief the two unlucky lovers. The cameo is very well detailed and has a "faint" engraving on the back that says: "Paolo e Francesca da Rimini". The frame was hand made, it has a C clasp and a tiny "turn over" bail to use it as pendant as well. Excellent condition, cameo is intact.
