Original Victorian large amethyst and natural pearl brooch

Of superb workmanship from the Victorian period
It was finely hand made of solid 18 Kt rose gold

Centering a large Natural amethyst of exceptional deep purple colour and beautifully hand faceted

Estimated approx 20.86 Ct
Set into antique manner collet

There is a fine garland of natural pearls all in surround complementing the amethyst with wonderful goldish iridescence
The back is exquisitely caged
There is a small bail allowing the wear like pendant as well
Hinged gold pin with safe probably added in later time
Excellent condition
It is 27 mm. in diameter
